An Interview With Melody Kitten

What is a KLog ?

A KLog is a Kitty Log. Just as a Blog is a Web Log, a KLog is a journal entry from Melody’s Extra-Ordinary World!

Where do you live?

I share my home with author A.C. Townsend and eleven sibling Townsend Cats in Kentucky.

Why did you decide to become a writer?

I was created to be an encouragement and an inspiration, and I love to see people smile. Writing is my way of connecting with people by celebrating the amazing, miraculous lives we all share.

Melody, how does a cat write a blog?

Hey, I may need assistance at the computer – claws over-extending to type the wrong key, the distraction of a wireless mouse, an office chair that is The Most Comfortable Cat Bed Ever – but make no mistake, cats know how to communicate! My typist and I share a close purrsonal and professional relationship. She is an expert at transcribing my thoughts into words.

I see you also have a Facebook page. What is your purpose as a feline communicator?

My purpose is to be a positive in a negative world. A light in the darkness. That description has become cliché, but it’s who I am and all I am determined to be. When people visit MEOW, they will find an uplifting, encouraging environment – a haven of sorts – where they are welcomed and appreciated each time they drop by. They can feel relaxed and content while they are here. They can leave with hope and a smile.

What is a Townsend Cat?

A Townsend Cat is a companion and a Muse to author A.C. Townsend and her photographer husband. Like humans, we each have our own responsibilities to carry out and purposes to fulfill. Townsend Cats are more than pets – we are family members with messages to share!

And your message would be?

From the womb to the grave, every individual experiences each moment of life from an exclusively unique point of view. This should leave us all speechless with wonder, yet have you ever stopped to contemplate the perfectly orchestrated design that placed the one and only you in this place at this time? When was the last time you took a moment to just be in awe of the exquisite miracle you are? Our God is Lord of creativity and beauty and infinite detail, and He designed every individual of every species with purpose and a plan that He will reveal if we only ask. There is no such thing as an ordinary life!
