From Feral to Family is the title of Merlin’s autobiography. Merlin eluded his humans’ efforts to trap him for weeks before their long-awaited success became his success story as well. Merlin began his life as a Townsend Cat in October 2017, months before he learned to trust humans and enjoy life as a house cat. Following full vet care and gradual integration into the family, the thin, hissing, swatting, backyard feral transformed into a healthy, hugging, purring lap cat who remains awed at his lot in life. Merlin has no interest in the not-so-great outdoors, and he is living proof that love, patience, respect, and time can transform a frightened feral into a forever family feline.
